Strategic Management & Advisory
NRN Exports' Strategic Management & Advisory function works alongside senior management to address complex business challenges, strengthen organisational performance and support sustainable growth.
The function provides an independent perspective on strategic and operational matters by examining business performance, market conditions, internal processes and emerging risks. Its role is to help management understand where the organisation stands, identify opportunities for improvement and translate strategic priorities into practical initiatives.
Rather than focusing only on recommendations, the advisory function supports management throughout the implementation process and helps evaluate whether agreed initiatives are delivering the intended outcomes.
What We Do
Analysing financial, operational and commercial information together with market developments and customer trends.
Converting findings into structured implementation plans with clear objectives, actions and timelines.
Working alongside management and relevant departments during the implementation of approved initiatives.
Reviewing progress against agreed objectives to determine whether further action is required.
Strategic decisions require a clear understanding of both internal performance and the external business environment. This helps management evaluate:
The findings provide a stronger basis for management decision-making.
Some business problems are visible, while others develop gradually within day-to-day operations. These reviews can help identify:
The focus is not simply on identifying what is going wrong, but on understanding why it is happening.
Strategic Roadmap
Once an issue or opportunity has been identified, the advisory function works with management to translate the findings into a practical course of action — giving management a clear path from a strategic decision to practical execution.
The Strategic Management & Advisory function operates as a management support and advisory capability rather than as a routine operational department. It provides senior management with structured analysis and recommendations while working with relevant business functions to understand operational realities.
Leadership
NRN Exports is led by its Managing Director, supported by management and functional teams responsible for the company's commercial and operational activities — combining commercial decision-making with structured strategic review.

Managing Director · NRN Exports (Pvt) Ltd
With over 40 years of experience in shipping and coir exports, I have had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of Sri Lanka's export industry and building lasting relationships across international markets.
During my tenure as a Director at Jafferjee Brothers, I gained extensive experience in shipping, international trade and the coir export industry.
At NRN Exports, I bring this experience with a clear focus on quality, reliability and long-term partnerships. Our goal is to build on Sri Lanka's strong export heritage while creating a company that our customers and partners can trust for years to come.

Chief Executive Officer · NRN Exports (Pvt) Ltd
At NRN Exports, we believe that successful international business is built on three things: quality, trust and long-term relationships.
Our vision is to connect Sri Lanka's rich natural resources with customers across global markets, while maintaining the quality, consistency and integrity that our products represent.
Before joining NRN Exports, I built my professional experience at Dialog PLC, one of Sri Lanka's largest and most respected corporate groups, where I worked across Product Management, Business Analysis and Research. These experiences shaped my approach to business, particularly my focus on understanding markets, identifying opportunities, improving processes and creating lasting value for customers.
At NRN Exports, we bring that same approach to the global export industry. We are committed to responsible sourcing, strong supplier relationships, reliable operations and consistently high-quality products.
Our ambition is not simply to grow our export volumes. It is to build NRN Exports into a trusted Sri Lankan brand in international markets, recognised for quality, reliability and integrity.
As we continue this journey, we remain firmly rooted in nature and driven by quality.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about NRN Exports. We look forward to building meaningful partnerships and growing together.

Natural coir fibre processed into twisted form for applications requiring structured, manageable fibre material — combining natural coconut properties with a format suited to further processing.

Coconut-based grow bags for professional horticultural and soilless cultivation, offering a practical balance between moisture retention, drainage and root-zone aeration.

Compressed coco peat manufactured from coconut-husk pith — compact for transport, expanding after hydration for use as a growing-medium or soil-conditioning material.

Sustainability
Coir is derived from the fibrous outer husk of the coconut. The coir industry transforms coconut-husk fibre and pith into useful materials for horticultural, agricultural and industrial applications.
NRN Exports participates in this value chain by connecting Sri Lankan coir products with international customers, while focusing on responsible sourcing, efficient operations and appropriate product utilisation. As our business develops, we aim to continue improving operational efficiency and responsible practice across our supply chain.
Global Reach
From our base in Sri Lanka, NRN Exports serves customers across Europe, Asia and North America — and continues to explore relationships with customers in new international markets.
